I’m not sure where to begin with this EPIC Gara Rock Wedding?! Alice and Bertie held a weekend full with dancing, drinking and a whole load of laughs thrown in for good measure. You may have heard of Gara Rock, it’s a beautiful hotel on the coast of Salcombe – it’s definitely on my list of places to stay during some down time.
I started in the morning with Alice and all of her girls at Gara in the Signal Room, whilst my second shooter (another Siobhan!) headed to East Portlemouth with the boys before they took a little boat to go and grab brunch.
Whilst the location spoke for itself, you didn’t need too much decor at all. A suspended installation adorned with greenery created a real luxury touch to the coastal marquee, along with a suspended ring above the dance floor. With nods to Bertie’s heritage with lavender on the tables, and dedicated bottles of Alice’s late father’s home brew, the couple had the perfect little touches to include family within the decor.
Now, let’s talk about THE DRESS. Holyyyyyy!!! Alice worked with Wilden London to create what I can only describe as perfection. A strapless A-line gown that also had a slit in the skirt, perfect for the little moments where Alice could show off her Jimmy Choo’s. The boys opted for morning suits which matched the luxury feel to the day.
Whilst guests headed to the marquee after the ceremony, Alice and Bertie were really keen to get their couples shots on a boat in the harbour. We were not disappointed… I’ll let the pictures tell the story.
No Gara Rock wedding is complete without a full dance floor jam packed with everyone dancing!! It’s fair to say everyone let their hair down!!
